Now Delivering: Anywhere There’s Hunger

The Challenge: WCK, the food aid nonprofit started by Spanish celebrity chef José Andrés in the aftermath of the 2010 Haiti earthquake, is trying to raise donations. How do they attract new donors?

The Solution: We live in an age where apps can deliver food to your house 24/7. However, what if you don’t have a house? What if your streets are flooded or your backyards on fire? Luckily, WCK is always ready to deploy resources 24/7. What if we show how WCK is the delivery service for emergencies?

Experiential: Chef’s Deliver Change Night

Since WCK chef’s deliver change all around the globe, what if we deliver a fun way for families to get involved with the giving? Chef’s Deliver Change night is an event hosted in large parks across Washington D.C., Philadelphia, New York City, Boston, and Portland (ME).

Hosted by founder, Chef José Andrés, the evening features food trucks by chefs from areas where WCK has made an impact. With dishes ranging from $5-35, it encourages families to explore different global cuisines with the benefit of all profits going to the organization.

In addition, all leftover food from the event gets cooked and distributed by volunteers to food insecure people.

Along with the food trucks, guests will also enjoy globally inspired music, interactive cooking lessons, inspiring speeches, and an informational center where they can choose to get more involved with the organization.

The goal of Chef’s Deliver Change night is to have an event that families can feel good about. It’s an affordable, informational and fun way to give back to an important organization that deals with some of the biggest problems in the world.
